The Smart Home continues to see year-over-year growth of 15-20% driven by applications like lighting, climate control, security and appliances. Key ecosystems like Apple, Amazon, Google, Samsung and Tuya are helping to expand the market and are standardizing on technologies like Matter. However, globally, the market is still fragmented with the number of different technologies used, resulting in a global adoption rate of less than 20%. This makes it challenging for product vendors to address the market with a single technology. While Matter is helping to address this problem, it will still take many years to rollout and have a large footprint in the home globally. With multiprotocol, vendors can address different wireless protocols and ecosystems with a single product.
